I'm Charlotte Harmer, BSc, MSc (Psychology); Level 3 City & Guilds' Dog Groomer as well as also being an experienced dog trainer. I’m a member of various organisations including the Pet Federation; British Dog Groomer's Association; the Force Free Pet Professional Guild; and Student member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors.
I am passionate about working with, grooming and training dogs using positive reinforcement rather than using force and fear which can backfire on all concerned. I will never put vanity before humanity and will work with your dog to ensure their grooming experience is the best it can be. I hold a certificate in sympathetic handling and continue to attend seminars in order to keep learning and keep current in all things grooming and training.
I've loved dogs all my life, sharing much of it with Boxer dogs and latterly Miniature Schnauzers with all the grooming they require. As well as grooming them myself, I train them both in obedience, Rally and Heelwork to Music as well as having lots of fun with trick training.
I own two gorgeous horses too and love training them (as well as clipping them and keeping them smart!) so I can definitely say I am an animal person!!
